Can you really change your stars?!!!
#epigenetics is a hot new topic! Oh, wait… is it?
For centuries, since the first man & woman, we’ve been directed to guard our hearts & be careful of our thoughts. It’s ebbed & flowed, webbing its way through history & cultures, manifesting in many ideologies & beliefs. However, the truth remained… be mindful of your thoughts.
Why? Why would we place any emphasis on something unseen & unheard?
Thoughts, just as words, have energies. They are like magnets. They dictate our words & actions and attract similar energies. “Birds of a feather flock together.” – Proverb from Plato’s Republic.
For example, if we believe we are unworthy we will not act in ways that set us up for success and often find ourselves surrounded with like minded individuals. If one simply believes they will defeat death, they often do! It’s not until one accepts an end in his mind that he/she is defeated. Did you know the same applies to our health?
Science is finally catching up with what many have known. Epigenetics, simply put, is the study of how our DNA reacts to outside influences of our environment. We have learned that it’s not as simple as DNA > RNA > Gene Expression. Turns out many things can effect what we inherit & how we can change some gene expressions such as obesity, autoimmune diseases, etc. Our outward environment, the chemicals, down the the very thoughts we have can alter the gene expression “switch” > RNA > DNA! This is our epigenome.
Example: “Epigenetics brings both good news and bad. Bad news first: there’s evidence that lifestyle choices like smoking and eating too much can change the epigenetic marks atop your DNA in ways that cause the genes for obesity to express themselves too strongly and the genes for longevity to express themselves too weakly. We all know that you can truncate your own life if you smoke or overeat, but it’s becoming clear that those same bad behaviors can also predispose your kids–before they are even conceived–to disease and early death.”
I’ve have been so blessed to be educated on such an amazing topic from Dr. Thomas Reed multiple times. Epigenetics can effect up to 3 or 4 generations (including ourselves). Pretty profound (& a bit biblical!)!!
Some claim they’ve finally scientifically proven hidden hereditary codes that express themselves generations later!
Just had to share!! I’m a geek like this… this is why you should question what’s being approved as “safe” & why you should consider your wellness that of your own! There’s a time & place for all things… be wise. And “be mindful!”
